From October 16th to 18th, 2026, Sayulita Beach in Nayarit will set the stage for the Sayulita Longboard Contest 2026—a competition celebrating surf culture with days dedicated to longboarding, aerial exhibitions, and thrilling night sessions. Over three days, the ocean and relaxed vibe of this Riviera Nayarit micro-destination will combine to offer an experience bringing together sports, music, and community along the Mexican Pacific.

Programming will kick off on Thursday, October 15th, 2026, with competitor registration, kit distribution, and the official meeting. Friday, October 16th, will feature the initial heats alongside night competitions, taking the action to the sea after sunset.

On Saturday, October 17th, action continues with longboard qualifying rounds and the night tournament finals. The day will also be accompanied by live music and special exhibitions in a celebration aimed at uniting surf enthusiasts and those who enjoy Sayulita’s signature atmosphere. On Sunday, October 18th, the longboard finals will take place, followed by the awards ceremony.

The competition also includes youth development divisions, creating space for new generations of surfers. Among the prominent figures tied to the event is Brenda Flores, a three-time champion of the contest.

With official backing from the Mexican Surfing Federation and the Surfing Association of the State of Nayarit, the Sayulita Longboard Contest 2026 represents an opportunity to experience one of the coastal culture’s most dynamic expressions—from the skill of competitors on the waves to the energy vibrant on the beach.
