El Jorullo Bridge: Adrenaline Suspended in the PV Mountains

High in the mountains surrounding Puerto Vallarta, where the landscape invites contemplative views, lies Ejido El Jorullo—a site home to an ecotourism project that stands out for its grandeur and vision.
Its history began two decades ago, when a group of families from the ejido decided to create their own project, intimately linked to nature and the destination’s adventurous spirit.
In its early years, the project focused exclusively on zip line tours. Over time, the experience grew and diversified organically, incorporating new ways to explore the surroundings to offer direct and respectful contact with the landscape.
Within this transformation, one of the most significant milestones arrived in 2017 with the inauguration of El Jorullo Bridge, a feat of engineering that redefined the experience and placed the site on the international adventure tourism map.
Measuring 470 meters long and suspended 150 meters high, El Jorullo Bridge holds the title of the longest vehicular suspension bridge in the world. Beyond the statistics, crossing it is a deeply sensory experience: vertigo blends with the vastness of the scenery as visitors cross aboard ATVs and all-terrain vehicles on journeys filled with excitement and adrenaline.
Reaching Ejido El Jorullo is an experience in its own right. The journey from Puerto Vallarta leads gradually into the mountains, leaving the urban setting behind to enter paths surrounded by lush vegetation and rural landscapes that set the stage for adventure. This access reveals a different side of the destination, where the pace changes and the connection with the environment takes center stage.
El Jorullo Bridge is more than just an attraction; it is a memorable experience that showcases the value of and pays tribute to the natural environment.
